Starting and Stopping Kinetica

1. Start Kinetica

Start Kinetica as the 'root' user by running

service gpudb start

Verify that Kinetica is running by browsing to http://<yourhostname>:8080/gadmin

2. Stop Kinetica

Stop Kinetica as the 'root' user by running

service gpudb stop

As Kinetica is shutting down, it will report each component as it is being stopped.
