Geospatial Features¶

Kinetica was originally conceived with an eye towards geospatial computing. In fact, the geospatial point was the first data type supported by Kinetica.

Because of this focus, there are specialized geospatial object types and filter functions built into Kinetica. Kinetica can also generate map-overlay imagery from the data in its tables.
